About ProbablyNot.com

Probablynot.com was born out of desperation. When I learned that a previous webhost had pulled some trickery such that my old domain name was owned by them and not by me and were unwilling to let me transfer to another service, I needed a new name.

As anyone who is looking for a domain will tell you, it can be a long process of plugging words and phrases into a site like Register.com. Most of the time if it is something you thought of, chances are someone else has too. After running through a number of names including things like Definitelymaybe.com, I stumbled on to Probablynot. I liked it, and over the years other people have told me they liked it too. The only drawback is that some corporations out there see a domain called “probablynot.com” and they assume it is spam. And I get plenty of spam as well since there are plenty of people out there who sign up for mailing lists using “probablynot.com” as a fake domain.

Currently, Probablynot is just me, Jason Pace. I am a contract programmer and consultant. I am available for work, just contact me for more details.
